The LuxLink® DX-7601 is a CAN Bus repeater system designed
to extend1 high speed CAN (Controller Area Network, ISO-11898-2) signals onto fiber
optic cables, providing RFI & electrical isolation. This CAN bus
repeater supports the CAN-based higher level protocols, eg CAL2, CAN Kingdom2, CANOpen2, DeviceNet2, Smart Distributed Systems (SDS)2.
Both multimode and single-mode versions are available and installation is
totally adjustment free. In addition, integral indicators are provided to
continuously indicate the presence of data signals as well as the presence
of operating power making system troubleshooting simple. For
ISO-11898-3 (ISO-11519) or SAE-J2411 contact us. |

*Note all specifications are subject to change without notice
1) The full CAN specification contains both electrical and software
protocols If your system is strictly following the CAN
software protocols, by definition the link distance is still limited by signaling rate as specified by the CAN
specification due to bus arbitration. This limitation is from 1Mb/s 30 meters to
10kb/s 5000 meters. Many customers are only using the electrical
protocols. If your system design is not limited by standard CAN bus
arbitration, our fiber optic transceiver can extend your link distance maximum
of 2 to 40 miles depending on the optical model selected.
